The top academic golfers at Granbury High School were recognized by Ameriprise Financial for keeping their grades high and their golf scores low.
Juniors Joe Jones and Mollie Wheeler were presented with Kaplan courses that will prepare them for college entrance exams. The presentation was made by Brad Burnfield and Kelly Dias, who serve Hood County residents as local, knowledgeable advisors by providing personal financial planning and tax planning services.
“Their mental toughness, diligent practice, and performance under pressure prepared them for golf course success. It’s likely that those same attributes, coupled with skilled fundamentals passed down from teachers and coaches, will translate to college success as well,” commented Burnfield. “We think that the Kaplan preparation courses for college entrance exams will help them continue their pattern of achievement.”
