GRANBURY ISD RECOGNIZES EMPLOYEES FOR SAFETY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Granbury ISD recognized several employees for safety consciousness and energy efficiency at an awards luncheon on June 3, 2010.
“These individuals led the school district in safety consciousness and energy efficiency through commitment, dedication, and team work. Their efforts help the district save thousands of dollars as well as keep students and employees safe,” stated facilities and maintenance director Randy Leach.
The Shining Star award was presented to Roberson Elementary custodian Florinda Mendoza for being accident free for ten years.
Three campuses were recognized for having good safety records by being free from accidents. The principals receiving the recognition were: Biff Peterson, Behavior Transition Center; Kellie Lambert, Roberson Elementary School; and Edwin Young, STARS Academy.
Lead custodians and child nutrition managers accepted safety awards for their employees remaining accident-free.
The custodians were: Dale Mask, Acton Elementary School; Brad Griffith, Administration; Pam Jones, Baccus Elementary School; Gene Barber, Brawner Intermediate School; David Clement, Crossland Ninth Grade Center; Silvia Trevino, Emma Roberson Elementary School; and Bobbie Ellingson, Oak Woods School.
Child nutrition managers receiving the awards were: Geneva Griffith, Baccus Elementary School; Stacy Cummings, Brawner Intermediate School; Theresa Daily, Crossland Ninth Grade Center; Melissa Montgomery, Roberson Elementary School; Vickie McMullen, Granbury High School; Kathy Sheeley, Granbury Middle School; and Jan Gilheany, Oak Woods School.
