Over three hundred students submitted their interpretations for a chance to win $30 and a first-place blue ribbon representing each school.
Campus winners were:
- Acton Elementary School: Yari Press, first; Benjamin Lillagore, second; Madi Salazar, third
- Baccus Elementary School: Blaine Dixon, first; Randi Spurlock, second; Jacob Kelsey, third
- Brawner Intermediate School: Kylie Horton, first; Ashley Fant, second; Courtney Gilley, third
- Mambrino School: Brock McKee, first
- Oak Woods School: Micah Tucker, first; Jillian Richardson, second
Prior to the Fourth of July Celebration, various businesses around town will display the masterpieces to create excitement leading up to the event. During the festival, Tarleton’s Dora Lee Langdon Center will open the Concert Hall for an art show featuring the winners’ and other masterpieces.
The art project was sponsored by Glasgow, Taylor, Isham and Glasgow Law Firm.
