STARS ACADEMY HOLDS SPRING GRADUATION

STARS Academy held spring graduation exercises on the evening of June 2, 2011, at Acton Baptist Church. Thirty-six students received high school diplomas during the ceremony.
Principal Edwin Young presented the diplomas to the graduates. School board president Charlie Cloud transferred the tassel for each student, who was also congratulated by superintendent Ron Mayfield. Following the awarding of diplomas, the students presented roses to family members, friends, and others that helped them finish their high school education.
The graduates receiving their high school diplomas were: Mariah Lyn Albrecker, Marion Alise Barnes, Leroy Beltran, Sarah Gayle Benson, Crystal Alicia Campbell, Kathy Imajewel Chappell, Kimberly Zoeanne Cheek, Boyce Emmitt Cotton Jr., Matthew Aaron Davis, Marc Anthony Ellis, Celena Marie Estrada, Jesus Guillermo Gamez, Isabel Jennifer Garcia, Katlyn Cherie George, Paige Michelle Harris, Bianca Loreto Hernandez, Justin Wayne Herring, Carson Michael Hickman, Miranda Gabriale Hollingshead, Jenita Allison Hundley, Brittney Nicole Ingram, Amber Alexis James, Hailey Nicole Kennington, Byron Taylor King, Kenna Lunelle Krichick, Kaylee Nichole Klinefelter, Jeremy Allen Lancaster, Michael Lawrence Lazaro, Courtney Ann McDonald, Christiana Marie McIntyre, Cherokee Nykole Minor-Fey, Brionna Leigh Murillo, Danny Monroe Pridgeon, Lacey Rene Shockley, Chanelle Aimee Terrier, and Alisha Nichole Walls
Joseph Cameron Williams was recognized for completing the High School Equivalency Program.
A reception following the ceremony was hosted by the church’s Agape Sunday School class.
