GISD RECOGNIZES EMPLOYEES FOR SAFETY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Granbury ISD recognized several employees for safety consciousness and energy efficiency at an awards luncheon on June 1, 2011.

 

“These individuals led the school district in safety consciousness and energy efficiency through commitment, dedication, and team work.  Their efforts help the district save thousands of dollars as well as keep students and employees safe,” stated facilities and maintenance director Randy Leach.

 

Shining Star awards were presented to Granbury High School custodian Sheri Patterson and Maintenance Department clerk Sharla Everette for being accident-free for ten years.

 

Granbury Middle School was recognized for having good safety records by being free from accidents.  Accepting was assistant principal Maury Tarvin.

 

Lead custodians and child nutrition managers accepted safety awards for their employees remaining accident-free.

 

The custodians were:  Jean Baxter, Acton Middle School; Maria Guzman, Administration; Pam Jones, Baccus Elementary School; David Clement, Crossland Ninth Grade Center; Alice Casey, Mambrino School; Julian Gonzalez, Oak Woods School; and Ofelia Cervantes and Silvia Trevino, Roberson Elementary School.

 

Child nutrition managers Ami Bush and Brenda Callahan received the accident-free award for Acton Elementary School.

 

For energy efficiency, Oak Woods School was recognized for electrical savings compared to last school year.  Accepting was assistant principal Leslie Tewell.
