GRANBURY CHOIR STUDENTS ADVANCE TO REGIONAL AUDITIONS

Treble ClefChoir students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center recently participated in the first step toward qualifying for the All-State Choirs.  The TMEA Region 7 district auditions were held on September 24, 2011, at GHS.

 

38 students qualified for the regional auditions, which will be held on Saturday, October 15 in Burleson.  Those advancing to the next level are:
  • Soprano 1:  Kaitlin Fee, Hailey Hart, Tori Townsend
  • Soprano 2:  Alexandrea Gonzalez, Viviana Lopez, Miranda Mhoon, Zoe Naifeh, Abby Ritchmond, Deanna Rupp
  • Alto 1:  Kennedy Brown, Makenzie Kane, Shelby Morrison, Sophie Mullen, Maria Oviedo
  • Alto 2:  Cindy Adams, Clarissa Jackson, Kelly Kollman, Alexandra Reid, Rachael Rodgers, Maci Samuelson, Jessica Taylor, Tiffany Terrier, Carley White
  • Tenor 2:  Ryan Bartosh, Blake Bridges (first chair), Dakota Britton, Christian Carvajal, Peter Dowd, Ryan Grant, Keith Jackson, Chase Whittet
  • Bass 1:  Cody Bridges, Steven Chatman, Brent Condit, Zach Payne, Anukorn Pinratana, Brayden Redden, Grant Watts 

Of the group, three – Kennedy Brown, Kelly Kollman, and Deanna Rupp – are freshmen.  The remaining are GHS students.

 

Tenor 1 and Bass 2 singers will audition at the October 15 round.

 

The students are under the direction of GHS choir directors Joy Hope and Greg Doss and Crossland choir directors Randall Walters and Cathy Terrel.
