Students from Acton Middle School and Granbury Middle School were selected for the All-Region Band during tryouts held November 12, 2011, at Cleburne High School.
The group was among hundreds of junior high and middle school students competing in TMEA Region 7, which is composed of schools in Fort Worth and extending west to Brownwood.
Students qualifying for the region band were: flute – Ronnie Estrada, Whitney Shearon; clarinet – Kayla Curtis; bass clarinet – Drew Harris; contra bass clarinet – Michelle Bailey; alto saxophone – Jennifer Boldenow, Marshall Helton, Will Warner (alternate); baritone – Evan Franklin; tuba – Aaron Morgan; percussion – Reagan Hall, Shelby Wininger (alternate).

The All-Region Band clinic and concert will be held December 2-3 at Weatherford High School. The concert will be at 2:00 P.M. on December 3 in the WHS auditorium.
