The Granbury Pirate baseball team earned a trip back to the Class 4A playoffs after Wade McClintock pitched a no-hitter and lifted the team to a 2-0 victory over the Crowley Eagles on April 17, 2012.
McClintock struck out fifteen Crowley batters during the District 7-4A matchup at Tidwell Field. The Granbury High School senior faced 23 batters, retiring the final eleven – seven by strikeout.
The Pirates will be returning to the post-season after missing the playoffs in 2011. The boys made back-to-back appearances in 2009 and 2010.
The GHS team will finish the 2012 regular season versus Burleson on Friday, April 20 at Tidwell Field and then traveling to Mansfield Summit on Friday, April 27. Seniors will be honored at the Burleson game during the final home game of the season.
