Lady Pirate softball players were honored at a banquet on May 7, 2012, at the GISD Bridge Street Conference Center.
Head coach Chad Kimberling handed out the following team awards:- Most Valuable Player – Bailey Spencer
- Offensive Player of the Year – Whitley Tipton
- Defensive Player of the Year – Ashley Edes
- Most Improved Player – Breanna Crain
- Fighting Pirate Award – Maci Samuelson, Sidney Williams
In addition, seniors Bailey Spencer and Sidney Williams received Academic All-State recognition.
Junior varsity honors went to the following players:
- Best Offensive Player – Sara Callahan, Rayla Helcl
- Best Defensive Player – Breanna Crain
- Most Improved Player – Karen McAusland
Kimberling was assisted by Mallory Smith, Marci Davis, and athletic trainer Connie Rhodes. Others helping the team were manager Kleba McGrew and student athletic trainer Katie Siegler.
