McCLINTOCK HEADED FOR WAYLAND BAPTIST
May 22, 2012

Wade McClintock, pitcher for the Granbury Pirate baseball team, announced that he will be continuing his education and playing career at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview. The announcement was made on May 21, 2012, at Granbury High School.
In college next year, he will be playing for the Pioneers, who compete in the NAIA’s Sooner Athletic Conference.
A three-year varsity letterman, McClintock was named the team’s most valuable player this spring, which saw him pitch a no-hitter in a district matchup versus Crowley to help the Pirates return to the Class 4A post-season. During his junior year in 2011, he earned second-team all-district honors.
