Top Lady Pirate student athletes at Acton Middle School have been recognized for their performance during the 2011-12 school year.
 
Among eighth grade girls, Taylor DeYoung was named the All-Around Athlete for playing all three sports during both seventh and eighth grades. She was competitive, had a positive attitude, supportive, a team player, and excelled at multiple sports, according to AMS coach Ronda Coffer.
 
The Fighting Heart award went to eighth grader Kylie Backwell and seventh grader Molly Shade. The girls were honored for giving everything they had all the time, working hard, and never complaining.
 
Top Academic Athletes were eighth grader Sarah Schloeman and seventh grader Emma McKelvain.
 
In addition, girls participating in all three sports – volleyball, basketball, and track – were recognized:
  • 8th grade – Marissa Baird, Karis Beasley, Kylie Blackwell, Kaitlyn Cunningham, Taylor DeYoung, Hannah Tucker Dudley, Alexis Gapinski, Erin Jones, Jettin Murphy, Bayleigh Olvera, Emily Ritchmond, Samantha Sieve, Sarah Sledge, Lily Thornton, Rebecka Troyer
  • 7th grade – Brynn Deger, Tiffany Henney, Sydnie Knowles, Jordan Musser, Molly Shade
