Michael Horn, a defender on the Granbury Pirate soccer team, received all-region honors following an outstanding season by the Granbury High School varsity squad, which won a fourth-straight district title.

Horn, who graduated in May, was selected to the first team of the Region I-4A squads by the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches.

In addition to being named the team’s most valuable player, Horn was chosen as defensive most valuable player when District 7-4A all-district honors were announced in April following the soccer season.

The regional honors follow the Pirates advancing to Class 4A post-season action after a winning a fourth consecutive district championship.
