Four Pirates on the Granbury High School baseball team earned spots on the District 7-4A all-district team.
Earning first-team honors was senior pitcher Wade McClintock, who helped clinch the team’s playoff spot with a no-hitter in a district matchup versus Crowley in April.
On the second team were third baseman Nathan Hickey, outfielder Payton Rhodes, and pitcher Brent Sanborn.
McClintock and Sanborn just graduated from GHS, while Hickey and Rhodes completed their sophomore and freshman years respectively.
Those on the all-district teams were:
- First Team: Wade McClintock
- Second Team: Nathan Hickey, Payton Rhodes, Brent Sanborn
Last year, McClintock was a second-team selection.
In addition to Granbury, District 7-4A is composed of Arlington Seguin, Burleson, Cleburne, Crowley, Everman, Joshua, and Mansfield Summit.
Head coach Brad Hart was assisted by assistant Brad Eppler, Trent Phillips, and Kit Langdon.
