Connie Youngblood, a science teacher at Acton Middle School, was honored recently at the Jack Harvey Academy of Exemplary Teachers celebration in Weatherford.
The academy, which is named in memory of a former Weatherford College professor who was highly regarded among his peers, recognized 33 area teachers.  Each honoree received a medallion and plaque during the event, which was held at the Doss Heritage and Cultural Center on January 26.

"We are pleased to present this award to honor the work and efforts of these fine educators," said Dr. Joe Birmingham, president of Weatherford College. "Because of each of these teachers, we can look toward the future with confidence that our students are receiving quality instruction and guidance."
