STARS ACADEMY HOLDS SPRING GRADUATION CEREMONY

STARS Academy held Spring graduation exercises on the evening of June 6, 2008, at Acton United Methodist Church.  Forty-two students received their high school diploma during the ceremony.

 

The graduates receiving their high school diplomas were:  Juan Francisco Arriaga, Spencer Alan Braswell, Meagan Elise Brooks, Austin Grady Carter, Lindsay Danielle Creecy, Amanda Leigh Day, Lindsey Michelle Degner, Benjamin Hughes Donald DeHart, Danielle Vada Dowd, Amber Jelyn Dykes, Adam Cody Estep, Alyssa Michelle Fierro, Kody Don Griffin, Angela Marie Guillory, Ashley Rae Hall, Kirsten Marie Hamill, John Clint Harris, Jamie Nichole Holland, Danielle Marie Jowers, Sonyia Colleen Kight, Jordan William Knul, Michael John McNatt, Rowdy Logan Moore, Elizabeth Martha Munoz, Blake Edward Murillo, Stormie Day Ogle, Dylan Aubrey Owens, Jakoby Kent Taylor Parker, Kayla Marie Petty, Kristyn Kamilee Rains, Paige Aeanease Renner, Kelli Michelle Robinson, Kyle Kristopher Saldana, Kelly Grace Schroeder, Meredith Joy Smith, Ryan Scott Thomas, Kristina Marlene Tillison, Jon-Marcus Bartholomew Tyler, Jacklyn Chrystina Watson, Amanda Jane Wilkerson, Kyle Christopher Young, and Jessica Marie Yrdanoff. 

 
An alternative academic high school that is part of Granbury ISD, STARS Academy provides an optional setting with flexibility and personalized self-paced courses for students whose needs are not met in the traditional school.  Over six hundred students have graduated from STARS Academy since the campus was founded in 1994.  The acronym stands for Self-Motivated Teens Achieving Responsibility and Success.
