Mambrino Students Hold Biography Tea

Students at Mambrino School celebrated history during a Biography Tea on May 28, 2008.

After researching American historical figures, third graders in Lois Askew’s class dressed in costume to deliver presentations about their selected subjects.  The reports offered an overview of the lives and important milestones of the figures.  Parents joined their children at the tea to hear the presentations.

Among the historical figures represented were astronaut Neil Armstrong, scientist Albert Einstein, inventors Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell, civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks, suffragette Susan B. Anthony, aviators Amelia Earhart and Charles Lindbergh, and baseball legend Jackie Robinson.
