Several students and a basketball coach were recognized at the Granbury ISD school board meeting on December 13, 2010.

Lillian Fuller, a second grader at Emma Roberson Elementary School, placed second at the Texas Reading Bee Championship sponsored by Score A Goal in the Classroom. She is pictured with reading tutor Melinda Winterbauer, principal Kellie Lambert, and instructional specialist Jennifer Ryan.

Students placed first in their grade levels at the Granbury ISD District History Fair. Seventh grader Jeffrey Robinson, a student at Acton Middle School, and Granbury High School sophomore Blair Cowden are pictured along with AMS principal Jimmy Dawson, GHS principal Jeremy Ross, and curriculum coordinator Becky Strain. Not pictured are AMS eighth grader BreAnne Daly and sophomore Ally Gonzalez.

Five Granbury High School choir students are advancing to the final All-State choir audition round to be held in January 2011. Pictured are Josh Carpenter, Carley White, and Blake Bridges with choir director Greg Doss. Not pictured are Meredith Ball and Alysia Murphy.

Coach Leta Andrews recently became the all-time winningest high school basketball coach. She was honored along with the 2010-11 Lady Pirate basketball team: Lauren Clough, Maddie Cox, Hayley Jordan, Catherine Matthews, Kristen Mozingo, Katie Muellenberg, Morgan Northcutt, Ashley Parrish, Lilley Vander Zee, and Candice Young. Also pictured are GHS principal Jeremy Ross and Crossland Ninth Grade Center principal Lynn Pool.
