ANDREWS FETED AT COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

The Granbury community honored Coach Leta Andrews at a reception on December 12, 2010, at Granbury Resort Conference Center.
The legendary coach made history on December 7, earning her 1,334th win and surpassing former Fort Worth Dunbar coach Robert Hughes as the all-time winningest high school basketball coach.
Presentations were made by state senator Brian Birdwell, state representative Jim Keffer, Hood County judge Andy Rash, and Granbury mayor Rickie Pratt. Representing the University Interscholastic League was Sam Tipton, executive director of the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Certificates and letters were also presented on behalf of Governor Rick Perry and congressman-elect Bill Flores.
Congratulatory remarks were also made by school board president Dr. Barbara Herrington, superintendent Ron Mayfield, and GHS principal Jeremy Ross.
