BANQUET HELD FOR CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS

Cross country runners from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center were honored during a team banquet held November 16, 2010, at Harbor Lakes Country Club.

 

Most Valuable Runner awards were presented to Kristian Samaniego and Kyler Gee.

 

Receiving the Fighting Heart Award were Carter Edwards, Cyndi Jackson, and Ryan Luedeker.

 

Most improved runners were:  varsity – Jonathan Hernandez and Caitlan Whitefield; junior varsity – Sergio Guerra and Emily Hiler.

 

The Newcomer Award went to Katie Fee and Tucker Smelley.

 

Also recognized were team members who advanced to the Class 4A Region I tournament:  Carter Edwards, Kyler Gee, Jonathan Hernandez, Ryan Luedeker, Joe Norton, Kristian Samaniego, Tucker Smelley, and Geordan Strain.
